The truth about fruit peel tossing #4

It is commonly said that it is good to throw fruit peels on the ground, but in fact, it is not such a good idea.
Even though natural fruits are decomposable in nature, the process takes much longer than you expect. And in the meantime, it is likely to cause problems.
First of all, fruit peels and other food waste will likely be eaten by wildlife and increase their habituation, and therefore become dangerous as they will be attracted to the side of roads and/or closer to human populations. Who hasn't heard of fox populations or wild boar getting closer to urban areas? Is that really their fault or ours?
Also, as it most likely is something outside of their natural diet, it will cause digestive and health problems to the wild animals, as they are not familiar with these foods. You see, they don't have critical thinking, only survival instincts.
Secondly, this kind of waste, despite being natural, is not very likely to be something native or existing in that location. So, fruit and vegetable seeds that end up on the ground could result in non-native plant growth.
Do you really understand how nature works? No matter your good intentions, semi-literacy and ignorance can lead to problems.
You've been cool'd!
