All this food and all this waste.
Close to expiration, toss it out.
Ugly, toss it out.
More than needed, toss it out.
Ugh!
Food waste contributes to environmental problems, such as greenhouse gas emissions, because when food decomposes in landfills, it releases greenhouse gases, like methane, contributing to climate change.
Wasting food also means wasting the resources used to produce it, such as water, energy, land, and labour, as well as storing, harvesting, transporting, packaging, and selling. And while food is being wasted, millions of people around the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition.
Buy/shop consciously.
Embrace ugly food.
Understand date labels.
Plan your meals.
Store properly.
Donate excess food.
We are part of the problem as much as part of the solution.
You've been cool'd!
