Birdwatching is Cool! #21

Birdwatching brings us multiple benefits, whether we practise it as a fun hobby or in a more serious way, whether alone, with friends, or with family.

Going birding improves our physical health because we end up walking, no matter how far we go. And, since we are outside, our vitamin D levels increase, boosting our brain and immune system.

Vitamin D rocks!

Another benefit is the improvement of mental health. While we birdwatch, we calm down, take the rhythm of nature, and our minds get distracted from anything else. We become present in the moment.

And, when doing it with someone else, we work on the relationships, strengthening our bond, improving communication, and sharing moments of joy. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but you can always give it a try.

Keep in mind that birdwatching is about observing the birds and their behaviour, not disturbing them.

You've been cool'd!
